Precinct Officers

A Democratic Party Precinct Committee Officer, or PCO, represents the Democratic Party within that person’s precinct.  A Precinct officer is basically the grass-roots organizer within his/her precinct.  Precinct Officers are voted on every two years, and appear on that precinct’s ballot, and may be appointed by the Party Chair when the office is vacant within a precinct until the next even-numbered election year.  Precinct Committee Officers are asked to identify Democratic voters in their Precinct, and to serve as their representative.  Additionally, if a Democrat elected to office becomes vacant in an area represented by a PCO, the PCOs are usually the ones who recommend or select a replacement.

If you are interested in filling a PCO vacancy, please contact the Chair John Adams at (360) 665-0102, or email pcd@pondhouse.com
